YouTube to crack down on videos showing child endangerment

YouTube stepped up enforcement of its guidelines for videos aimed at children, after increased criticism and a growing number of articles about child exploitation videos. In a post on the company’s official blog, YouTube's vice president of product management, Johanna Wright, said the platform has already deleted 50 channels and thousands of videos. It has also removed advertisements from 500,000 exploitive videos under the new guidelines. The video giant will also apply machine learning technology and automated tools to help surface potentially violative content.
